Under 8’s make a splash at the Carnival

The Salvation Army FC put a float in the Stowmarket Carnival for the first time thanks to Gordon Holloway’s Parkside Transport and the enthusiastic organisation of Alison Soon. Alison was ably assisted by many parents and the boys themselves preparing artwork and decorating the float.

On the soggiest day the world has ever known the carnival weaved its way through Stowmarket in front of a large number of people bravely staying out in the rain to give their support to the Carnival Procession and all those taking part.

The Under 8’s entered a float depicting Football Festivals Around the World (click on picture to enlarge) and they all wore kits of various nations and foreign teams and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
